Independent Living Options

At Helan Group, we understand that everyone’s needs and goals for independent living are unique. That’s why we offer a range of personalised Independent Living Options to support our participants in achieving their desired lifestyle.

Our team of experienced and compassionate support workers can provide assistance with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, as well as support with community participation, socialisation, and skill-building. We work closely with our participants and their families to develop tailored plans that reflect their individual needs and preferences.

Whether you require occasional or ongoing support, our Independent Living Options are designed to help you live life on your terms, with greater independence and autonomy.

Supported Independent Living

At Helan Group, we understand that every individual has different support needs when it comes to living independently. Our Supported Independent Living services are designed to provide tailored support for participants to live independently while still receiving the necessary care and support they need.

Our qualified staff members work closely with participants to develop individualised care plans that take into account their unique needs and goals. Our services include help with daily living tasks, personal care, domestic assistance, community access and social participation. We work with participants to build skills and confidence in a range of areas, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting and using public transport, to help them achieve greater independence.

Medium Term Accommodation

Our Medium Term Accommodation services provide participants with a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for up to three months. We offer a range of accommodation options to suit different needs, from shared houses to self-contained units. Our team of qualified staff members work closely with participants to provide personalised care and support, ensuring that they feel comfortable and confident during their stay.

We offer a range of support services, including help with daily living tasks, personal care, domestic assistance, community access and social participation.

We understand that participants may require Medium Term Accommodation for a range of reasons, such as temporary respite, transition support or crisis accommodation. Our services are designed to be flexible, and we work closely with participants and their families to ensure that their needs are met.

Respite

At Helan Group, we understand that caring for a loved one with a disability can be challenging, which is why we offer Respite services to give carers a break. Our team of qualified staff members provide temporary care and support to participants, allowing their carers to take some time off to rest and recharge. We offer a range of Respite services, from in-home care to temporary accommodation, to meet the unique needs of each participant and their family.

We believe that Respite is essential for maintaining the health and wellbeing of both participants and their carers. Our Respite services are designed to be flexible, and we work closely with participants and their families to ensure that their needs are met. We are committed to providing high-quality care and support to all of our participants, and we believe that everyone deserves a break from the demands of caring for a loved one.

Support Coordination

Our Support Coordination services are designed to help participants navigate the complex NDIS system and access the NDIS services they need. Our experienced team of Support Coordinators work closely with participants to develop individualised support plans that take into account their unique needs and goals. We assist participants in understanding their NDIS plan and provide guidance on how to use their funds effectively.

We believe that everyone has the right to access the supports and services they need to achieve their goals. Our Support Coordination services are designed to empower participants and their families to take control of their NDIS journey and make informed decisions about their care and support.

Mental Health Services and Assessments

At Helan Group, we understand the complexities of mental health and how it can impact individuals and their families. We offer a range of Mental Health Services and Assessments to support our participants in their journey towards recovery. Our team of mental health professionals has extensive experience in providing evidence-based interventions and therapies that are tailored to the unique needs of each participant.

Our mental health services include individual counselling, group therapy, and skills development. We also offer assessments for mental health conditions and provide support with medication management. Our team takes a holistic approach to care, recognising the importance of addressing not just the symptoms, but also the underlying causes of mental health conditions. Our goal is to empower our participants to develop the skills and strategies they need to manage their mental health and wellbeing.

Care Planning

At Helan Group, we believe that effective Care Planning is essential for delivering high-quality, person-centred supports. We work closely with our participants, their families and carers, and other service providers to develop care plans that are tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. Our experienced team takes a collaborative approach, recognising that effective care planning involves input from all stakeholders.

Our Care Planning services include initial assessments, ongoing reviews, and the development of care plans that are focused on recovery and sustainability. We take a holistic approach to care, recognising that participants’ needs may be complex and multidimensional. Our team ensures that each care plan is flexible and responsive to changing needs and circumstances, and we work closely with participants and their support networks to monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary.

Psychosocial and Community Access Support

At Helan Group, we recognise that social inclusion and community participation are essential for promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. We offer a range of supports, including individual and group activities, skill-building workshops, and community participation support.

We work closely with participants and their support networks to identify areas of interest and develop plans for participation in community activities. Our goal is to empower participants to build meaningful connections with their communities and to experience a sense of belonging and purpose.
